About The Coffee Confessions
~~~
Everyone that knows me, knows I love coffee, so it would only make sense that I start a blog on my obsession for the popular caffeine-drink. I realised my love for coffee when I was just 14 years old at a farmer's market whilst selling hot drinks from a quaint little coffee van owned by my dad. Actually making the coffees from scratch made me realise that there was a lot more to the commonly-adored drink than just putting a spoonful of instant espresso into a cup and pouring hot water in.
From then on, I became a bit of a coffee fanatic and would drink pretty much any coffee-related drink - it wasn't until I got a bit older and moved to Glasgow that I started to appreciate higher quality coffees, and found a few of my favourite cafés.
So I created this blog to share my experiences of the coffee culture in Scotland (mainly Glasgow and Edinburgh). I moved here as a student three years ago and fell in love with the city's accommodating nature, friendly individuals (people really do make Glasgow) and the city's obvious love for coffee.
Exploring Glasgow's vast abundance of coffee houses and cafés made moving away from home less daunting, as it kept me busy and gave me a chance to meet/get to know others. So I thought I would write about my experiences and reviews on not only the coffee offered, but also the interiors of the cafés, because sitting in a dark, cold coffee shop is not how someone should drink a coffee (ever).
I hope you enjoy reading this blog, and I hope it encourages you to visit some of the places mentioned!
Can't wait to read more! :)
