The Sixth Confession

Love Crumbs

~~~
Strolling through the streets of Westport, it's easy to miss this diamond in the rough.
The welcoming warmth from inside Love Crumbs shakes off the cold of November in Edinburgh. Twinkling lights, the sound of Elvis' 'Can't help falling in love' and the smell of toasted banana bread leaves you desperate for a coffee break.
The ever-popular pink and green theme fills the shop, with pink neon signs and botanics in every corner.
This coffee shop joins the vegan trend with vegan mocha cake, vegan Persian cake and an oat milk alternative. Again, it's disappointing to see that alternatives such as Soya, Coconut and Almond are not on the menu but alas - it's only a matter of time before i'm sure they will catch on to the craze.
The mild and delicate roasted coffee paired with regular milk gave me the lift I needed on a cold afternoon after walking through the cobbled streets of Edinburgh. But of course, after seeing their selection of cakes, cookies and traybakes, it would have been rude to not try any!
I decided to order the toasted banana bread with berry compote, citrus creme fraiche and pistachio from their 'snacks' menu and well, let's just say there were no crumbs left to love.
Elvis was right - I couldn't help falling in love.
